I don’t usually write posts about my writing journey. Actually, I seem to remember somebody telling me that if I ever used the word ‘journey’, they wouldn’t read. So, just to be clear, that is not what this is about.
However, today I felt the need to mark a milestone in my writing jour… em… life (phew!).
Many of you will know that I’m just about to have my first book published. It’s been such an exciting, roller-coaster of a year and I’ve loved every minute of it. Any Dream Will Do will be published on 3rd November and I’m counting down the days.
Today my book went to print. That’s it – no more editing. It’s done and dusted. I may die of excitement!

Congratulations, Maria, I bet that feels brilliant. I am really looking forward to reading your book.
Congratulations, Maria! Can’t wait to see “Any Dream Will Do.” Thank you again for being part of the “Saying Goodbye” anthology!
You shout, brag, strut and boast all you like, my dear. So well deserved, and so great. I’m insanely proud of you!

Oh my goodness Maria!!! I am so excited for you. At the Mountains To Sea Chris Binchy said one of the most important qualities to have is being nice, you are one of the nicest writers so you will go far young Pade-Wan!

You’re about to do something a very small percentage manage to achieve. Enjoy every nano second, shout it from the rooftops, tweet it at every opportunity, even wear the cover on a t-shirt.
Congratulations, young lady
Love the mischievous look in your cover girl’s eyes! That promises a fun read. And I say, whoop, shout, dance about as much as you like, for goodness sake. This is your first book and the realisation of a dream. Celebrate it, Maria, and enjoy every moment.
cool …..congratulation hope it’s huge x x x
Congrats, Maria! Hope it sells bucketloads. Can’t wait for the launch 🙂
Lol. I agree with whoever told you, essentially, that they didn’t like “writing journey” or even just “journey” because I think it’s a bit cheesy; however, I’ve almost caught myself using it the more I talk about my writing! Haha. That word’s not getting past my lips, though.
Anyway, congratulations on your book! That’s amazing news.
Congratulations. Enjoy every minute.
Just remember to breathe. And congrats! Marked it on my calendar.
Now *that* deserves a blog post – and a massive round of applause, and confetti, and champagne and…I could go on! As that welding woman out of Flashdance once said, ‘What a feeling…’ – you deserve every success and I will be there whooping and cheering all the way to the top of the bestseller lists! xxxxxx
Maria, I remember sitting up late into the night when we first met in London and your book was out on submission. Two weeks later you had your deal and have shared every step of the jour..life…with me. Thank you for always being thoughtful and sensitive and for squeeeeing so many times. Can’t wait to give you a proper hug next week! Here’s to all your dreams coming true, now and always. I feel so lucky to call you my friend xx
Many congratulations Maria!
